15th National Machine Design Festival Opens

Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- The 15th National Machine Design Festival opened with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex on Monday. Attending the festival are designers, teachers, researchers, postgraduates, technicians and three-revolution team members of over 110 units, including professional design institutions, educational and scientific research institutions. Exhibited at the festival are more than 650 research achievements like designs of machinery and equipment for various sectors of the national economy and designs of equipment for the use of natural energy. The festival includes the exhibition of machine designs, designing contest, prize contest, presentation of advanced designing technology and dissemination of latest technologies to put designing on a more scientific and IT basis. Present at the opening ceremony were Im Chol Ung, vice premier of the Cabinet, Yang Sung Ho, minister of Machine-building Industry, officials concerned and the participants in the festival. -0-
