Academic excellence award praised

Manama, Oct. 5 (BNA): Head of the Higher Committee of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Graduation Award and Dean of Student Affairs in the University of Bahrain (Uob) Dr. Osama Abdullah Al Jowder has praised the efforts of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association in supporting youth in various fields, particularly in education. Dr. Al Jowder stressed that the directive of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to include all universities in the Kingdom for the second edition of the award, provides the perfect opportunity for students to showcase their innovation. His Highness is encouraging through this the promotion of scientific innovation among students, which serves the development of the graduates and reflects positively on the development of the labour market, he added. "We would like to thank HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his directive of including every university in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the second edition of the award. This initiative shows the care and attention of His Highness in motivating our youth towards innovation, which is an important approach towards the development of education, worldwide. Innovation helps to create a paradigm shift in societies, and helps to develop the labour market and this is what the universities are looking for in the graduates," he added. He offered his thanks and gratitude to the members of the High Committee of the award for their efforts which will turn the event into a success. He also wished luck and success to all of the students who will participate in forum.
