ADP Security Support delegation leaves for Rome to review latest practices adopted by Italian Police

ABU DHABI, 4th May, 2015 (WAM) -- A delegation from the Security Support Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters left for Rome yesterday at the invitation of the Italian Carabinieri.
The visit will continue until 8th May, and aims to review the latest operational practices in police work and conduct capacity benchmarking of the Security Support Department while performing unconventional tasks.
The Abu Dhabi Police delegation includes Colonel Khaled Saeed Al Shamesi, Head of Security Support Department, Major Mohammed Mubarak Al Masa’bi, Security Support Patrols Branch Manager, First Warrant Officer Ismail Ali Al Hosani, Giancarlo Candiano, Italian training specialist and Legal Consultant, Abu Baker Abdullah Abdul Wahhab.
Colonel Al Shamesi said, "The visit comes in response to the wise directives of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, stressing the need to get closely acquainted with tasks undertaken by leading international police bodies, in order to provide Security Support Department staff members with further advanced hands-on expertise in all areas of field work, as well as handling reports, and patrol work, so as to promote safety and security in the country."
