Alba, Asry board chairman receives Swiss diplomat

Manama, Oct. 5 (BNA): Chairman of Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) and Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (Asry) Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa received Humbert Vincent Buemi, the Swiss Honorary Consul General to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting reviewed different aspects of cooperation between Asry and Alba and other related Swiss companies. It also discussed areas of mutual interest between the two companies and Swiss companies in terms of new projects, especially the Line 6 Expansion Project that will open new horizons for Alba. The Swiss diplomat stressed the long and profound trade, investment and economic ties between the two countries and toured Asry and its different facilities. He also visited Alba where he was welcomed by the acting Chief Operations Officer Amin Sultan and other officials and discussed with them ways of boosting cooperation.During the overview briefing of the Line 6 Expansion Project, the diplomat lauded the project. He was, later, accompanied on a tour around Alba and its different facilities.
