Alba receives French ambassador

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, received the Ambassador of France to the Kingdom of Bahrain H.E. Mr. Bernard Régnauld-Fabre as well as Deputy Director of Middle East at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ludovic Pouille and Chief of Economy Section at the French Embassy Mrs. Aude Robin-Mitrevski. The visit was aimed at boosting the strong commercial ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of France. Alba's Chief Financial Officer Ali Al Baqali and Director of Administration Waleed Al Tamimi met with the French delegation and gave them insights on Alba's role in supporting the national economy as well as its plans for the future. During the meeting, Alba's CFO Ali Al Baqali said: 'It was a privilege to receive H.E. Mr. Bernard Régnauld-Fabre and his guests as well as showcase Alba's pioneering role as the first smelter in the Middle East. We, also, look forward to further strengthening the business relations and cultural ties between Bahrain and France.' The delegation was given a tour of Alba smelter and briefed on the Company's initiatives in the field of Safety, Health, Environment and Employees' Empowerment.
