Ambassador-Designate to Egypt: Celebrating IDC strengthens Bahrain’s international status

Cairo, Apr. 5 (BNA): The Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowdar, stated that the UN-endorsed initiative of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to celebrate the International Day of Conscience (IDC) on 5 April annually, contributes to reinforcing all efforts aimed to serve humanity and peace. He affirmed that the initiative is in line with the reform approach spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence peace and sustainable development. He also expressed appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his continued efforts and initiatives which contributed to strengthening the Kingdom’s status at the international level and highlighting its achievements in the fields of combating all forms of discrimination, violence and terrorism, as well as serving the goals of sustainable development. Al-Jowdar noted that the initiative also serves as a call to the international community to shoulder its responsibility in facing and overcoming the challenges and hardships faced by peoples all over the world. On the occasion, Al-Jowdar expressed his sincere congratulations to HRH the Prime Minister on his recovery and safe return to the Kingdom, wishing him abundant health and success.
