Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan meets with deputy FM of Tajikistan

Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2022. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan Erlan Abdyldaev met in Dushanbe with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sodik Imomi. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that during the meeting the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in various fields, including the protection of citizens' rights, as well as cross-border and interregional cooperation. The sides drew attention to the need to continue joint work to restore and strengthen confidence among the local population of the border regions of the two countries in order to ensure stability and security in the border area. In order to effectively solve priority tasks and give positive dynamics to bilateral relations, the possibility and necessity of using mechanisms of work within the framework of the Interstate Coordination Council, the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, Deputy groups of parliaments, the Kyrgyz-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission for the comprehensive consideration of bilateral issues were emphasized.
