Ambassadors tour Bahrain’s cultural vestiges

Manama, Mar.5 (BNA): The ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps today toured cultural and archaeological milestones across the Kingdom of Bahrain. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) organized the tour this evening in cooperation with the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Bahrain, Kuwaiti Ambassador Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah. BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of valuing heritage, being the pillar of the national identity and the source of its pride. She extended thanks to Kuwaiti Ambassador Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah hailing his keenness on enriching cultural life in Bahrain. The tour started at Bahrain National Museum and included Boumaher Fort, the three-kilometre-long pearl trail, Al-Hidaya Al-Khalifia iconic school, Bab Al-Bahrain, Bahrain Post, Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al-Fateh Fort in Riffa and Bahrain Fort, the first milestone to be included in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites.
