AmCham Bahrain organises students’ tour

Manama, May 16 (BNA): The American Chamber of Commerce Bahrain (AmCham) organized a tour of the US home textile manufacturing company, WestPoint Home, for 20 Law and Business students from Polytechnic University. Polytechnic Law Tutors Teresa Chacko and Yasmin Sebah use the U.S.-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement in their curriculum so students will have an understanding of real world business issues. WestPoint Home’s Aziz Ahmed, General Manager, Admin & Human Resources, and Imran Cheema, Managing Director, Bahrain Manufacturing & Operations began the tour with an overview of WestPoint Home’s operations in Bahrain beginning in 2006 to take advantage of the FTA’s duty free benefit. WestPoint Home exports over $100 million of home linens to the US every year.
