Anadolu Agency journalism academy opens doors

ANKARA (A.A) - February 8, 2012 - Anadolu Agency's journalism and media academy opened its doors on Tuesday with a ceremony held at AA headquarters in the Turkish capital, Ankara. "This is a historic day for the Anadolu Agency. 'New generation journalists' of the Middle East, Central Asia and the Balkans will be trained by the Anadolu Agency," Director General and Executive Board Chairman Kemal Ozturk told the ceremony.      Ozturk said the academy program included agency journalism, general news media, war journalism, adding that 38 students have been selected for the first 4-month term of the academy. Ozturk said the instructors of the academy included veteran journalists, photojournalists, businesspeople as well as politicians.
