Anti-cyber Crime warns of WhatsApp scams

Manama, May 10 (BNA): Directorate of Anti-cyber Crime has warned the public of the risks of stealing their personal details and the telephone number listed in the WhatsApp application through e-messages send through the WhatsApp by anonymous asking for information and if they get the information they hack and control the phone and demand money or try to cheat others through the phone of the victim. The department called upon mobile users to ignore such messages and report them through the hotline 992.
