Applications open for Pitch@Palace Bahrain 1.0

Manama, Mar. 5 (BNA): Hosted by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and HRH The Prince Andrew, Duke of York, in partnership with Tamkeen, Pitch@Palace Bahrain 1.0 aims to guide, help, and connect Entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses from across the Kingdom with potential supporters, including CEOs, influencers, investors, mentors and business partners. The Duke of York founded Pitch@Palace in 2014 to provide a platform to amplify and accelerate the work of Entrepreneurs.
The Pitch@Palace initiative reflects the Bahraini government’s commitment to promoting innovation within the private sector as a key driver of economic growth. In line with that commitment, the theme for Pitch@Palace Bahrain 1.0 is Innovation and Technology, with applications welcomed from Entrepreneurs working in the following areas:
· Financial Services
· Healthcare
· ICT
· Logistics
· Manufacturing
· Real Estate
· Tourism.
12 Entrepreneurs will be selected from the applicants to attend the Pitch@Palace Boot Camp in Bahrain in March this year. The Entrepreneurs will receive guidance on how to develop and hone their pitch, as well as support with investment and introductions.
The 12 entrepreneurs will give a three-minute Pitch to an influential Audience from the worlds of entrepreneurship, technology, media and investment at Pitch@Palace Bahrain 1.0 to be held on 5 April at the Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Fateh Fort in Riffa. The winners will be selected by an audience vote and will be invited to Pitch at Pitch@Palace Global, which takes place at St. James's Palace in London, UK in December 2018.
All 12 entrepreneurs will join the growing Pitch@Palace Alumni network and receive ongoing support.
