Arab honour for Bahraini volunteer

Cairo, Mar. 20 (BNA): Bahraini Salman Mohammed Al-Sindi won the Arab Youth Award, after ranking first in the Arab region. He was presented with the award during a glittering ceremony which was held yesterday at the Arab league to honour outstanding Arab youth, in recognition of their dedicated efforts and achievements.
Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan extended congratulations to the Bahrain laureate who won the pan-Arab award meritoriously. The ministry had nominated Al-Sindi, who is enrolled at the ministry-run Voluntary Work Development Centre to vie for the award among other Arab contenders.
He also took part in the young Arab leaders forum, which was held in Egypt, in cooperation with the Cairo-based Arab league. A total of 77 nominees were in the fray vying for the award, represent Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Algeria, Djibouti, Iraq, Sudan, Mauritania and Yemen.
