Arab League role hailed

Manama, Mar. 22 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh sent a cable of congratulations to Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit on the anniversary of the establishment of the Cairo-based pan-Arab organization.  He hailed the efforts exerted by Aboul Gheit, commending the pivotal role of the Arab League in promoting Arab unity under all circumstances, challenges, regional and international shifts.  Al-Saleh lauded the achievements of the Arab League, hailing its role, since its establishment, as well as its contribution to the independence of Arab countries.
