Arab League Secretary General praises HM King's role in supporting security, stability

Cairo, May 31 (BNA): Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit has praised the great efforts made by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the security and stability of the region. He also lauded HM the King's support of joint Arab action and strengthening Arab integration and cooperation in various fields. Aboul Gheit also commended Bahrain's diplomacy characterized by its moderation and leading role in consolidating international relations between Bahrain and other countries. The secretary-general who was receiving the Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel Al Assoomi referred to the comprehensive development in Bahrain under the leadership of HM King Hamad. Aboul Gheit highlighted HM the King's great role and wise leadership in supporting, protecting and maintaining Arab national security through the Kingdom's wise foreign policy that has consolidated its position and strengthened its active presence regionally and internationally. The Arab League chief expressed pride in Bahrain's honorable stances in defending the Arab nation and in the Kingdom's achievements in all areas under HM the King's wise leadership and its steady drive towards further progress and prosperity thanks to HM King Hamad's comprehensive development program. The meeting reviewed the latest Arab and regional developments with a focus on the Palestinian cause. Al Assoomi expressed deep appreciation of the special efforts exerted by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to broker a ceasefire in Gaza, saying the move reflected Egypt's steadfast stance.
