Arab Radio and TV Festival laureates praised

Manama, May 7 (BNA): Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi voiced the ministry's appreciation of the national media and artistic competencies and their contribution to preserving the national identity and culture, maintaining security and stability, fostering tolerance and good citizenship and highlighting the development and civilisational achievements brought about in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Al Romaihi was speaking as he received members of the ministry personnel on the occasion of Bahrain Radio's winning of the first place in the interactive programmes competition and Bahrain TV's clinching of the second place in the awareness flashes category in the 19th Arab Radio and TV Festival which was organised by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) in Tunisia from April 26 to 29. The minister expressed thanks and respect to the winners of the highly prestigious Arab awards, wishing them more success in developing the media sector and upholding the kingdom's name in various regional and international media gatherings. The team of the winning radio programme, "Kodhni Ma'aka" (Take Me With You), includes Ala Al-Banna, Noor Al-Qasimi, Nasser Jaber and Saber Said. The team of the winning TV flash "Qol Khairan" (Say Good), which aims to promote tolerance in the Bahraini community, includes Nasiba Al-Sherooqi and Anas Janahi.
