ASEAN skills competition set in Thailand

BANGKOK, Aug 29 (TNA) -- The Labour Ministry through its Skill Development Department will organize the 12th competition of Southeast Asian workers’ skills from this Friday through to the weekend. Labour Minsiter Adul Sangsingkeo said the World Skills ASEAN Bangkok 2018 competition was set at the IMPACT exhibition and convention complex in Nonthaburi province on Aug 30-Sept 4. It would gather highly skilled young workers of the region and the competitors would show off their skills and expectedly motivate young people in general, Pol Gen Adul said. The World Skills ASEAN Bangkok 2018 would be organized with the theme of “ASEAN Skills, Crafting the Future”. It would be an arena for 335 participants in 26 categories of competition, he said. HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will open the event and Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwon will close it on Sept 4. (TNA)
