ASEAN Women's Circle Donates Food To Orphans

JAKARTA, June 23 (Antara) - Under the ASEAN spirit of sharing and caring, the ASEAN Women's Circle (AWC) continued its outreach and charity activities during the Islamic fasting month of Ramadhan. Executive Committee Members and Chief Patron of AWC Yasmin Fachir visited 28 orphans living in a Qur'an Exellencia Indonesia Islamic Boarding School in Depok, West Java, recently, according to the ASEAN Secretariat on its official website, here, Friday. The orphaned children come from various provinces in Indonesia and are now living under the guidance of nine dedicated teachers. The AWC donated daily needs such as rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, as well as dates, milk and set food for the children and teachers to enjoy Iftar.
