Association for Furtherance of Peace President receives HRH Premier's grandsons

Vienna, March 13 (BNA): President of the Association for the Furtherance of Peace Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete and her husband Archduke Sandor von Habsburgheld, the association Vice-President, received at Schoenbrunn Palace in Vienna today Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa, Shaikh Husam bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Premier's grandsons Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa and Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa. Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete welcomed HRH the Prime Minister's grandsons, stressing that conferring The Flame of Peace Award on HRH the Premier has a special significance as it represents an inspirational source for peace advocates all over the world. She said the award is a constant reminder that the paths of peace are still illuminated with hope thanks to the efforts made to boost values of coexistence, peace and stability. She added that the Association for the Furtherance of Peace is looking with respect and appreciation at the contributions of HRH the Prime Minister to supporting global peace. Those contributions, she noted, earned him respect and appreciation of the international community and organisations in tribute to his national development achievements and international efforts to promote the culture of peace and co-existence. Then, Archduchess Herta Margarete accompanied HRH the Prime Minister's grandsons on a tour of part of Schoenbrunn Palace which is considered as the former summer residence of the Austrian Caesar family and one of the most baroque palaces in Europe where the Habsburg family used to spend most of the year. The palace is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List and consists of 1441 rooms of which 45 can be visited. The interior decor is still preserving the rococo style. Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete presented Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa with a book on Schoenbrunn Palace which was developed by Empress Maria Theresa of Habsburg as a copy of the Palace of Versailles in France. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa and Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa thanked Archduchess Herta Margarete and her husband for the good welcome, wishing the Association for the Furtherance of Peace every success in fostering global peace and coexistence. They stressed that the international honour of HRH the Prime Minister is the outcome of a march full of achievements. They added that granting HRH the Premier the Flame of Peace Award is a source of pride for Bahrain and its people. They also praised the historical content of Schoenbrunn Palace and wrote in its VIP visitors book.
