Auto manufacturing rises by 9% in 2011

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Total manufacturing by the automotive industry rose by 9 percent to 1.1 million units in 2011 over the previous year. Automotive Industry Association of Turkey made public on Thursday auto production figures for 2011. Automobile production increased by 6 percent to 640,000 units in 2011 when compared to 2010. Meanwhile, total automotive exports rose by 5 percent and car exports climbed by 1 percent in 2011.
