BAC conducts successful safety drill

Manama, Apr. 25 (BNA): Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), said it has conducted a successful Hazard Material "Chemical Liquid" Accident Exercise in line with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). The participants involved in the activity on the 24th of April were: Ministry of Interior Operations Directorate, Civil Defense & Fire Services, Airport Police, Airport Customs, BAC Airport Rescue & Firefighting Services, BAC security, BAC Airside Operations, BAC Corporate Communications, BAC Health, Safety & Environment, King Hamad University Hospital and Bahrain Airport Services (BAS).  The purpose of a radioactive accident exercise is to ensure the adequacy of the plan to cope with different types of accident/incident scenarios that may occur at Bahrain International Airport, according to BAC.
