BACA, NCC discuss cooperation

Manama, Apr. 18 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, today received Chief Executive of the National Communication Center, Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, and discussed cooperation. The BACA President paid tribute to the NCC role in coordinating with other government agencies to bring out media content that reflects the local reality.  A brief was given on the BACA 2018 cultural activities, including Bahrain’s celebration of Muharraq as the 2018 Capital of Islamic Culture, and the 26th Heritage Festival to be held under the royal patronage on April 25-May 5.  The NCC Chief commended the BACA achievements and its role in preserving the national identity, noting the importance of the cultural infrastructure in achieving the national sustainable development. He expressed delight in establishing cooperation to promote Bahrain’s cultural identity that reflects its civilization.
