BACA President meets British Council director

Manama, Mar. 20(BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa received British Council director Alan Rutt and discussed cultural cooperation as the two countries celebrate the bicentennial of their relations. She commended strong relations bonding the two countries, hailing the role of Britain in enriching local cultural life. In this regard the Midsummer Nights’ Dream play will be staged at the Bahrain National Theatre which celebrates this year its fourth anniversary. Efforts are also in full swing to hold an exhibition which showcases the testimonies of British people who lived in Bahrain and who bear witness to longstanding bilateral relations.
