BACA President receives Agriculture Undersecretary

Manama, Aug. 9 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa has received Agriculture and Marine Wealth Undersecretary at the Ministry of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al Khalifa. They discussed coordination to move the "Green Monuments" pavilion through which Bahrain participated in Expo Milano 2015 to Muharraq. Shaikha Mai praised the pavilion’s role in highlighting Bahrain’s culture for six months in one of the biggest international events. She said Bahrain’s participation in the expo helped promote the kingdom’s humanitarian heritage and contributed to re-exploring the beauty and glory of the Bahraini cultural and agricultural heritage. She also pointed out that re-building the pavilion in Muharraq next to Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa House will serve as a landmark cultural and tourism destination in 2018 when Muharraq celebrates its status as the "Capital of the Islamic Culture." Shaikh Mai thanked Shaikh Khalifa for his efforts to boost cooperation with BACA, stressing that human achievement requires participation of all competent parties. Shaikh Khalifa praised the efforts of BACA to preserve the kingdom’s human heritage, hailing cooperation to upgrade Bahrain’s cultural infrastructure.
