BACA President receives former Arab League Secretary General

Manama, Dec. 11 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received today former Arab League Secretary General Amr Mousa, on the sidelines of his participation in the IISS Manama Dialogue 2017. She briefed him on Bahrain's cultural activities for 2018 and the functions planned to celebrate Muharraq as "Capital of Islamic Culture" in January 2018. Both sides also discussed the importance of culture and arts in boosting relations between the Arab peoples and facing regional challenges. The former Arab League Secretary General congratulated Shaikha Mai on Bahrain's winning of the presidency of the World Heritage Committee, lauding BACA's efforts to boost the kingdom's international standing in the heritage and cultural fields.
