BACA president receives Tunisian ambassador

Manama, June 21 (BNA): Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) received the Ambassador of Tunisia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mohammed Bin Yousef. The ambassador conveyed to Shaikah Mai invitation from Tunisian Culture and Heritage Conservation Minister, Saniya Mubarak, to attend the opening of "Sfax as the Capital of Arab Culture" by the end of July. Shaikha Mai said culture was and still is one of the key means of human rapprochement between world peoples. She praised the development and diversity of Tunisia's cultural activity which adds deep-fathomed cultural dimensions to the ancient heritage of the country. The ambassador praised the role undertaken by BACA in boosting the local cultural activity and efforts in conservation of heritage, protection of antiquities in addition to organisating cultural, artistic shows that promote the Kingdom of Bahrain regionally and internationally, wishing the upcoming period to witness cultural cooperation that reflects the deep historic ties between the two countries and to project mutual Arab masterpieces.
