BACA president visits Louvre Museum, reviews details of Dilmun Exhbition in October

Manama, Feb. 3: Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa met with the Head of the Department of Oriental Antiquities of the Louvre Museum Ariane Thomas. They discussed the details of the exhibition that will be dedicated to the civilization of Dilmun in the Louvre Museum in the last quarter of 2022. The exhibition is within the agreement signed between BACA and the Louvre Museum in 2019 during the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to France. The Dilmun exhibition will open in October in the most important halls of the Louvre Museum, which receives large numbers of visitors and official figures. It will feature pieces from Bahrain National Museum and the Louvre, which represent Dilmun’s heritage and will run for years showcasing the Kingdom’s heritage to the world.
