Bahrain’s Ambassador to Brussels meets EIP officials

Brussels, Feb. 9 (BNA): Bahrain’s Ambassador to Belgium Abdulla bin Faisal bin Jabur Al-Doseri, received the Senior advisers to the European Institute for Peace (EIP), Mohamed Al-Farwani Patrick de Vries. He also received Senior Program Officer at the Institute, Jamie Pleydell-Bouverie, in the presence of the Second Secretary at the Embassy, Ibtisam Khalifa Bahar. Ambassador Al-Doseri commended the institute which focuses on finding appropriate channels to promote the concepts of mediation and create common grounds for dialogue and peacebuilding, through the Institute’s contribution to a number of regional issues and the activation of the so-called path 1.5 of the diplomatic tracks. He affirmed Bahrain's keenness to adhere to its balanced foreign policy approach based on the pillars of regional and international peace and security, and to support sustainable development goals through regional and international strategic partnerships. Al-Farwani and de Vries valued the role played by Bahrain in laying the foundations for security, peace and development in the region, and gave a detailed presentation on the efforts of the Institute in the past period and its aspirations to build bridges of sustainable cooperation with the relevant partners in the Kingdom. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
