Bahrain’s first floating hotel opened

Manama, May 15 (BNA): Bahrain’s first floating hotel has officially opened its doors today in Manama. Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibition (BATE) Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al-Khalifa inaugurated C Hotel , the first floating hotel of its kind in the Arabian Gulf Region.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Khalid Abdulrahman Almoayyed, Manama Trustees' director-general Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, political and economic figures.
(BATE) Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of the new milestone and said that the coral bay has become a tourism destination for families. He thanked Akram Miknas for promoting the concept (CHotel) which, he said, represents a value-added and innovative milestone.
"This unique hotel reflects Bahrain's standing as a tourism destination that attracts local and foreign investments, hailing Bahrain's strenuous efforts to develop this vital sector which plays a crucial role in spurring growth.
He stressed BATE-led strategy to promote Bahrain and project its tourism potential, in a wide-ranging and ambitious scheme engaging the public and private sectors. He stressed resolve to continue supporting and encouraging innovative projects and initiatives to develop and upgrade the tourism infrastructure and bolster Bahrain's standing as an attractive tourism destination.
