Bahrain’s handball qualification hailed

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA) Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman and Head of the Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa saluted Bahrain National Handball Team which qualified to the World Men's Handball Championship for the fourth time in a row, after defeating Japan to reach the semifinals of the Asian Championship, being held in South Korea. He congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier for the landmark sport achievement. He also congratulated His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. He commended the strong performance of the Bahrain National Handball Team, which qualified brilliantly to the World Cup for the 4th time in a row, expressing the hope that it would clinch the Asian trophy.
