Bahrain’s women empowerment experience praised

Moscow, July 3 (BNA): The Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Republic of Russia Galina Karelova, has praised the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women Empowerment, which was inaugurated in September 2017 at the 61st session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, USA. Karelova described the award as one of the best international projects for empowering women and motivating public and private institutions, bodies and organisations to promote equal opportunities between women and men at all levels, which is reflected in the achievement and sustainability of development in the countries of the world. Karelova was speaking while receiving the Bahraini Ambassador to her country, Dr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Saati. She expressed Russia’s desire to benefit from the experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of women's empowerment, as well as to participate in the qualification for the award through its institutions and bodies. The ambassador gave details about the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women Empowerment and the results it has achieved at the national level since its inception ten years ago, and its goals after becoming a global award.
