Bahrain Ambassador to U.S. receives NUSACC award

Washington. Dec.13 (BNA): Bahrain'Ambassador to the United States Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa received the "Ambassador of the Year" award granted by the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC). The award is in honor of his achievements and exceptional efforts in strengthening Arab-US- trade relations, and in appreciation of his role in consolidating Bahrain-U.S. relations. The ambassador said that receiving the award is a reflection of the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen relations with the U.S. in various fields. He said that the prosperity of Bahrain-US economic relations stems from the visions of the leaders of the two countries over decades, as the U.S. has become the largest trading partner of Bahrain outside the region. Shaikh Abdullah highlighted the examples of cooperation, the most important of which is the creation of the investment climate in Bahrain to make it a preferred destination for foreign companies, and the launch of the U.S. free trade zone that gives a competitive advantage to American companies. The ambassador noted the designation of the sovereignty right to the subscriber information of the U.S. in the existing cloud computing centers in Bahrain, and facilitating the movement of citizens between the two countries through the Global Entry Program that contributed to the promotion of trade between the two countries.
