Bahrain attends BREXIT meeting

Berlin, Oct.15 (BNA): Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federal Republic of Germany, Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, participated in the round table of Ambassadors BREXIT Impact on the Financial Center, at the invitation of the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany in cooperation with Frankfurt Main Finance.
The meeting was opened by the Director-General for Economic Affairs and Sustainable Development at the Federal Foreign Office, Mr. Miguel Berger, in the presence of senior officials of the German government, Ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions involved in the session and directors of banks and other financial institutions, such as State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Dr. Jأ¶rg Kukies, and Managing Director of Frankfurt Main Finance, Mr. Hubertus Vأ¤th.
During the discussion, participants focused on efforts to develop regulations, strengthen infrastructure and provide competitive advantages in order to attract banks and financial institutions that will be transferred from London to other European countries, especially financial institutions directly linked to the European Union, which will move their offices to a European country within the European Union, especially Frankfurt, which is considered one of the most competing cities in this field.
Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla made a presentation on the upcoming visit of the delegation of Frankfurt Main Finance to the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period 6-7 November 2019, in order to enhance cooperation between the EDB and the Frankfurt Main Finance, addressing the opportunities available in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the financial and investment sectors as the Kingdom of Bahrain is an important financial centre in the region.
