Bahrain attends Polish independence celebration

Warsaw, Nov. 12 (BNA): On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Second Republic and restoration of its independence, the Undersecretary for International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, attended during a working visit to the Republic of Poland on November 11 the official reception held by the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, at the Presidential Palace and Piazodski Square, in the presence of a large gathering of officials, ambassadors and international elites. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa conveyed the greetings and congratulations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister to the Polish President, and their wishes for further progress and prosperity for the Government and people of Poland. The Undersecretary for International Affairs praised the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Poland and the mutual desire to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation thanks to the wise leadership of the two countries. He expressed his happiness to participate in the celebrations of Independence Day and the warm welcome and hospitality that embodied the originality of this friendly country and its ancient traditions. The Undersecretary of International Affairs stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the blessed reign of His Majesty the King, established a global model for the promotion of international peace and affirmed the importance of the noble values of all mankind. He referred to the launching of the Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration and the King Hamad Global Centre for Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence, as well as other pioneering and unique initiatives of His Majesty the King for the good of the humanitarian community. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah mentioned that: "With our great pride in the extent of our relations with your friendly country, especially on the political and diplomatic levels, we look forward to further consolidating and expanding these relations, especially in the economic, investment, tourism and cultural levels. Bahrain has a comprehensive and qualitative reform and a distinct development experience. The Kingdom has a deep Gulf, Arab and Asian depth, an ambitious success story and a model of coexistence, and the Republic of Poland has an important place at the European and global levels. Both friendly countries can be of driving force to progress, peace and prosperity. He also added that: There is full conviction that there are large and wide opportunities that contribute to the expansion of economic cooperation, based on the investment of the comparative advantages of both countries, and promote the exchange of trade. I therefore look forward to a great deal of optimism for the future of our bilateral relations and to find new and promising prospects for the course of those relations. The Polish President then conveyed his greetings to His Majesty the King and the political leadership, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity. During his visit to Poland, the Undersecretary for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met with senior officials of the Foreign Ministry and the Polish Parliament.
