Bahrain attends roundtable session in Berlin

Berlin, Mar. 10 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani participated in a roundtable session, in the presence of UNWTO Secretary General Taleb Rifai and other officials. The event was on the sidelines on the International Tourism Bourse (ITB), being held in Berlin, Germany. Themed "Tourism in the 21st Century: New Business Models in a Digital World", the session discussed the opportunities of digitalization for developing tourism and travel sectors. Alzayani stressed the importance of the tourism sector as a cornerstone that revitalizes the national economy and spurs growth. The minister outlined Bahrain's tourism strategy which is based on four main components: marketing and promotion, programs and tourist destinations, arrival and entry and residence. He seized the occasion to announce that Bahrain's tourism identity would be launched.
