Bahrain to celebrate 100 years of formal education

Tunis, May 11(BNA): Bahrain will celebrate the centenary of formal education, which was first launched in early 1900s. The festivities marking the centennial will be held in 2019 and 2020. Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi invited his Arab counterparts to take part in the forthcoming landmark celebration. Dr. Al-Nuaimi tendered the invitations as he took park in the 24th Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) General Congress, which concluded in Tunisia. The Tunis-based pan-Arab organization urged members states to take part in the celebration marking 100 years of formal education in Bahrain. The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) will organise a string of workshops and other varied functions marking the occasion.
