Bahrain to celebrate World Meteorological Day

Manama, Mar 22 (BNA): Bahrain tomorrow celebrates the World Meteorological Day to be held under slogan "Hotter, drier, wetter... Face the future." The celebration comes to commemorate the launch of the World Meteorological Organization WMO established in 1950. Meteorological Department Director Adel Al-Daham noted Bahrain's interesting in meteorological science and the establishment of the first weather station in 1902 to record ambient temperature, air pressure and rainfall, highlighting the government's constant support for the development and modernization of the meteorological department in line with latest technology.
