Bahrain condemns Chechnya church attack

Manama, May 20 (BNA): Bahrain has condemned the armed attack which targeted a church in the Russian Republic of Chechnya, resulting in the death of a number of people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement Bahrain's solidarity with Chechnya in all measures taken to combat terrorism and achieve security and safety for citizens. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sincere condolences to the government and people of the Russian Federation and to the families of the victims of this terrorist act. The ministry also reiterates the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain which rejects violence, extremism and terrorism in all its forms regardless of their motives, and calls for the concerted efforts of the international community to eliminate this dangerous phenomenon that threatens the security and stability of the world," the statement said.
