Bahrain condemns terrorist attack in Afghanistan

Manama, Aug. 4 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in Paktia Province, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries. The Ministry expresses its deep condolences to the families of the victims, and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured as a result of this heinous terrorist act, which is contrary to all religious, humanitarian and moral principles. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism, and it reiterates the Kingdom's firm position in rejecting all forms of violence and extremism, calling for the need for concerted efforts by the international community to ensure the eradication of this serious scourge that threatens all countries of the world and to dry up its sources of funding.
