Bahrain elected member of the Arab Journalists’ Federation

Tunis, May 22 (BNA): Bahrain's candidate Moa'nes Al-Mardi has been elected member of the Arab Journalists' Federation General Secretariat. The results were announced as the 13th conference of the Arab Journalists’ Federation concluded in Tunis. This is the first time the Kingdom of Bahrain wins a seat in the pan-Arab organisation. Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid opened the conference yesterday under the slogan "No to impunity in crimes against journalists". A delegation led by Bahrain Journalists’ Association (BJA) Chairman Moa’nes Al-Mardi took part in pan-Arab event. The delegations discussed the conditions of Arab journalists amid regional upheavals and focused on legislations aimed at protecting Arab journalists while exercising their duties.
