Bahrain expresses sympathy with Philippines over flood victims

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed Bahrain's sympathy with the Philippines following the death of many people in landslides and flooding across the central and southern region. Tropical storm Megi pounded the disaster-prone region, flooding houses, inundating fields, cutting off roads and knocking out power, Philippines' national disaster agency said. Megi is the first storm to hit the archipelago this year, which sees around 20 such storms annually.
