Bahrain, Germany ties praised

Manama, Oct. 27 (BNA): Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal affirmed that the protection of maritime navigation in the region and the world is shared responsibility, urging the international community to boost cooperation and support the respecting of international conventions to ensure the security and protection of global economy. Zainal pointed out that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, attaches utmost importance to the protection of security and stability of the region and global economy. She added that all the efforts, initiatives and moves of Bahrain won the support of the international community, aspiring for more cooperation and coordination with all the countries that support comprehensive development and the protection of international peace and security. The speaker praised deep-rooted Bahrain-Germany cooperation in the various fields and sectors, stressing the need for boosting the cooperation in education, investment and parliamentary fields matching with Bahrain's aspirations to establish numerous vital national developmental programs. This came as the speaker received today Kai Thamo Boeckmann the Ambassador of Federal Germany Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The ambassador praised the amicable bilateral ties, noting the atmosphere of religious tolerance and human rights strides in Bahrain, hailing the wisdom of His Majesty the King in boosting the cooperation in various fields. He assured his continuous efforts to develop the parliamentary cooperation, boost the activities of joint friendship committees, and the provision of all facilitations and investment-friendly conditions in the interest and prosperity of both friendly countries and peoples.
