Bahrain Heritage Festival to kick off Thursday

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): The 24th annual Heritage Festival will kick off on April 14 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The event, themed "Vocal Waves from Our Bahrain", will be held in a special tent near Bahrain National Museum. Bahrain heritage related to pearl hunting and making will be brought under the spotlight in the one-week event which will provide visitors with the opportunities to meet an elite of Bahraini craftsmen while doing their jobs like basket making, pottery and handicrafts. Visitors will get a taste of shows highlighting the Bahraini culture and traditions as well as tableaux of Bahraini folklore which will be held daily on a special indoor theatre platform. The festival will also feature various recreational and cultural functions shedding light on the kingdom's rich heritage.
