Bahrain to host inaugural symposium on Arab Government Excellence Award

Manama, Oct. 5 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by the Civil Service Bureau, will host the inaugural symposium on the Arab Government Excellence Award next Monday (October 7, 2019), in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development in the Arab League and the Government of the United Arab Emirates. This award is the first of its kind in the Arab world, and the largest in the field of development, improvement and administrative excellence within the government sector.
The President of the Civil Service Bureau, Mr. Ahmed bin Zayed Al Zayed, said that the inaugural symposium of the Arab Government Excellence Award held in the Kingdom of Bahrain aims at introducing the criteria of the Award, especially the concepts of quality and government excellence, which promotes effective participation in various categories of the Award aimed at developing and improving performance of administrative systems in the Arab region to achieve government excellence in accordance with international standards.
Mr. Ahmed bin Zayed Al-Zayed also stated that Her Excellency Engineer Maryam Al-Hammadi, Secretary General of the Arab Government Excellence Award and the Arab Organization for Administrative Development will attend the the inaugural symposium of the Arab Government Excellence Award. In addition to Undersecretaries and Assistant Undersecretaries from the Kingdom of Bahrain’s government entities.
The President of the Civil Service Bureau explained that CSB has developed and launched a system (Takamul) that aims to develop and improve government organizational performance according to an integrated system that increases productivity and efficiency of government entities under the umbrella of the civil service. He added that the Organization Performance Management System “Takamul” was launched to implement a unified strategy for the civil service to contribute to the advancement of sustainable development in the Kingdom.
