Bahrain hosts prodigious Japanese musician

Manama, Feb. 28 (BNA): As part of Spring of Culture Festival2016 activities under the patronage Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Centre for Culture & Research on Monday, February 29 will host the prodigious Japanese violinist Mika Nishimura - aka "SAKURA" i.e. "cherry blossom" in Japanese and the symbolic flower of Japanese spring season - who brings the very best of her sweet moving melodies to Bahrain's fans of this classic instrument which she plays to showcase her avant-garde unique style that earned her worldwide acclaim, an informed source in BACA said. Mika Nishimura was born in Fukuoka, Japan. She started learning to play violin from the age of 4. She Graduated from Keio University majoring in Policy Management while studying violin. Prior to her education abroad, she debuted as the soloist with a concert in Tokyo. Mika participated in many concerts in the framework of the Conservatory, where she studied as well as she had a concert tour in Swaziland and Brazil - according to an "Embassy of Japan" news release dated February 17.
