Bahrain-India strong relations lauded

Manama, Feb. 26 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla affirmed the importance of Bahrain-India cooperation mainly in the parliamentary, development, investment and economic fields. He lauded historic and outstanding relations between both countries, praising the role of the Indian community in the kingdom's comprehensive development march. The Representatives Council Speaker was speaking as he received Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Alok Kumar Sinha, in the presence of Head of the Human Rights Committee Abdulrahman Bumajid and MPs Khalid Al Shaer and Ahmed Qarata. He commended India's honourable stance regarding Bahrain's security and stability and its support to the wise policy of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also expressed keenness of the Representatives Council to cement bilateral relations in all vital and development sectors. The Representatives Council Speaker presented an invitation to his Indian counterpart to visit Bahrain. He also called to activate the joint friendship committees at the level of the council and secretariat General. The Indian ambassador underlined his country's support to Bahrain's security and stability, commending the civilisational achievements made under the reform project of HM the King.
