Bahrain; Indonesia sign judicial cooperation agreeement

Manama, Nov.20(BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain and Indonesia have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote joint judicial cooperation. Court of Cassation Chief, Deputy President of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) Chancellor Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Bouainain sealed the deal with Indonesian Supreme Court Chief Justice Professor Muhammad Hatta Ali. The agreement stemmed from the needs of judges in both countries to observe justice and enforce the rule of the law so as to keep abreast of fast modern changes in the fields of sociology and law, particularly Islamic Sharia precepts. The deal also aims to bolster cooperation between the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) and the Indonesian Supreme Court in the fields of management of court cases, the development of judicial human resources, in addition to exchanging information and visits and training. The signing ceremony was attended by Court of Cassation Judges Abdulrahan Al-Sayyed Mohammed and Mohammed Hassan Al-Bouainain.
