Bahrain investment opportunities showcased in London

London, Mar. 23 (BNA): Bahrain’s embassy in the United Kingdom has hosted a reception to review investment opportunities in Bahrain. The reception, in cooperation with the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), also focused on what Bahrain provides in the growing financial services sector, in order to enhance its position as a regional hub for innovative financial technology. The Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani, delivered a speech in which he highlighted the deep rooted friendship between the two Kingdoms, affirming Bahrain’s readiness to create new economic partnerships, especially after Brexit. The minister also showcased investment opportunities in the Kingdom and encouraged investors to take advantage of the current and future opportunities Bahrain has to offer in terms of its strategic location, talented human capital, exceptional lifestyle, and forward-thinking government. The event was attended by Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, EDB Chief Executive Khalid Al Rumaihi, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bahrain, Simon Martin, British officials, members of the House of Lords and Commons, senior businessmen, and business executives. The guests hailed Bahraini competencies as well as the economic reforms implemented in the Kingdom. The reception took place on the side-lines of the EDB participation in the Innovate Finance Global Summit in London.
