Bahrain-Ireland energy cooperation discussed

Manama, Apr. 13 (BNA) Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza has received the Riyadh-resident Irish Ambassador to Bahrain Joseph Anthony Cotter, along with senior officials from the Irish electricity company, ESB International (ESBI). He reviewed with the delegation the outstanding Bahrain-Ireland relations, especially in the energy field, and ESBI'S recently implemented projects. He affirmed the government's support to all foreign investments in the electricity and water sector, as part of the Energy Ministry to strengthen cooperation between the Government of Bahrain and the private sector. The Irish Ambassador lauded the Kingdom's legislation and systems that stimulate foreign investments in the country, praising Bahraini officials' constant keenness to leave doors open for investors to meet them and be informed about the progress of their projects.
