Bahrain-Japan ties praised

Manama, Aug. 28 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa affirmed Bahrain's lasting keenness to boost its bilateral friendship and cooperation ties with Japan that extend over more than eight decades. These remarks came as the minister received today Ambassador of Japan to Bahrain Hideki Ito upon his recent appointment, wishing him success in building on the excellent bilateral relations. The minister praised the role of Japanese firms and their latest technologies in supporting Bahrain’s petrochemical, aluminum, gas, telecommunication and infrastructure projects. He also called at the same time to magnify the benefit from Japanese advanced expertise through cultural and educational cooperation in various aspects. The ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the deputy PM for the welcoming reception he had in the Kingdom of Bahrain, assuring of his persistent efforts to maintain the advanced level achieved in the Bahraini-Japanese bilateral ties.
